Simply put, mindfulness is paying attention to the present moment without attachment or judgment. Meditation is the practice of being in the moment using anchors such as breath, body sensations, sounds, and even Scripture to keep us present. It is a practice that leads to more clarity, less reactivity, increased self-awareness, and ultimately – joy.
Many of us have conditioned our minds to create and carry so much noise through the stories we tell ourselves. Through mindfulness and meditation, we learn to choose what is worth paying attention to – moment by moment with curiosity, openness, and kindness.
